Officer-involved shooting

Portland Oregon Police shoot and kill an unarmed man. The original police report states that the man had a weapon. Three neighbors that I interviewed who witnessed the shooting and events prior, stated that they did not see a weapon. Today officers change the story and admitted that the man did not have a weapon at the time of the shooting.

I interviewed a few activists during a march in downtown Portland. Demonstrators were marching for the Back the Black event and in remembrance of Patrick Kimmons who was killed by Portland police officers in 2018.

Kenton Community Interviews During a Protest | 08.08.2020

We interviewed four members of the community in downtown Kenton in Portland, Oregon right after a group of activists marched by. The demonstrators were pushed into the neighborhood after munitions were thrown by the Portland Police Bureau near the Portland Police Association. Activists marched through the street and a few large art stencils were caught on fire. No buildings were looted and no violence occurred at that time, but community members had mixed reactions to what was happening.

Celebrity Spotting at The Portland Protest | 09.28.2020

We nervously awaited the Proud Boys at a nightly Direct Action Black Lives matter/Police Brutality protest in downtown Portland at the Multnomah County Justice Center. We ended up spotted some celebrities instead.
